The students in Middle and High School continue their study of French by participating in communicative activities and through working with authentic material. The course follows the Discovering French series curriculum, covering a wide variety of themes as well as a deep study of the language functions and grammar. The curriculum is richly enhanced through reading poetry, fables, and short stories; watching French language news and video clips; listening to music and radio broadcasts; completing webquests; and participating in a variety of dramatic skits and informational presentations. A trip to France over spring break is an option that is offered annually.
